Rahel Urech holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Religious Studies and completed her Master's degree in General History and Historical Religious Studies at the University of Zurich. She gained professional experience in 2020 during a traineeship at the Stiftung für Kunst, Kultur und Geschichte in the area of collection cataloguing and in 2021 during an internship at Lange & Schmutz Provenienzrecherchen GmbH. Since January 2022, she has been conducting provenance research as a research assistant at Lange & Schmutz. Parallel to this commitment, Rahel Urech works as a cultural mediator in the city of Aarau.
What she appreciates about provenance research is its interdisciplinary nature, which allows her to combine her various fields of interests.
She speaks and writes German and English fluently and has a good command of French.
